Quintin V. Kneen
President and Chief Executive Officer
Quintin V. Kneen was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company in June 2013. Mr. Kneen joined GulfMark in June 2008 as the Vice President - Finance and was named Senior Vice President - Finance and Administration in December 2008. He was subsequently appointed as the Company's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in June 2009 where he worked until his appointment as Chief Executive Officer. Previously, he was Vice President-Finance & Investor Relations for Grant Prideco, Inc., serving in executive finance positions at Grant Prideco since June 2003. Prior to joining Grant Prideco, Mr. Kneen held executive finance positions at Azurix Corp. and was an Audit Manager with the Houston office of Price Waterhouse LLP. He holds an M.B.A. from Rice University and a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University, and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
David B. Rosenwasser
Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Rosenwasser joined GulfMark in 2001 and was named Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in February 2013. He previously held the positions of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2012-2013, Vice President - Americas from 2009 to 2013, Area Manager − Brazil from 2007 to 2009 and Director of Business Development from 2001 to 2007. Prior to Gulfmark, he was with the Energy Investment Banking Group of Lehman Brothers, Inc., serving as Analyst and then Associate since July 1997. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Rosenwasser served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable George P. Kazen, then Chief Judge of the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas. He holds a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. in Business from Texas A&M University.
James (Jay) M. Mitchell
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
James (Jay) M. Mitchell was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company in June 2013. His expertise includes strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, finance, accounting, treasury, taxation, risk management and investor relations. His most recent experience was as CEO of the privately held Flex Energy. Previously, Mr. Mitchell worked as Senior Vice President & CFO of T-3 Energy Services, a publicly traded company, until its successful sale in 2011. He earned a MPA in Taxation from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.B.A. in Accounting from Georgia State University.
Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Kennedy has over 35 years' of experience in the offshore vessel industry. In 2003 he joined GulfMark as UK Operations Director. Prior to taking up his current post he served for 6 years as Managing Director of GulfMarks North Sea region, operating over 40 ships. Mr. Kennedy started his decade of marine education in the late 70's and held chief engineering postings on several offshore construction vessels working internationally. He has been a senior team member in various engineering, operational and commercial capacities with several large companies in the marine construction and support sector. He enjoys a seat as a member of the Council of the UK Chamber of Shipping and is Chairman of its Offshore Committee.
Richard (Rick) M. Safier
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Mr. Safier was named our Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary in March 2011, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in the same function in June 2012. Previously Mr. Safier was Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of T-3 Energy Services, Inc. from 2006 until 2011. Prior to joining T-3 Energy Services, Inc., he was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for a privately held Houston based software company and in addition held positions of increasing responsibilities in the offices of two Houston based law firms. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina and a J.D. from the South Texas College of Law. Mr. Safier is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
David E. Darling
Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer
David E. Darling was named our Vice President – Human Resources in November 2008 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in the same function in June 2012. Mr. Darling has over 23 years of human resource experience. He came to GulfMark through our acquisition of Rigdon Marine, where he was employed as Human Resource Director since 2007. Prior to joining Rigdon Marine, Mr. Darling served as Executive Vice President of Human Resources for a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company which he joined in 2000. Additionally, Mr. Darling has 15 years of experience in the offshore vessel industry as Vessel Master, Operations Manager and Human Resources Manager with Zapata Gulf Marine and Tidewater, Inc.
Mr. Darling earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Brenau University and his Master of Science in Human Resources Management and Labor Relations from the New York Institute of Technology.
Samuel (Sam) R. Rubio
Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer
Samuel R. Rubio was named our Vice President – Controller and Chief Accounting Officer in December 2008 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in the same function in June 2012. Mr. Rubio joined GulfMark in 2005 as the Assistant Controller and was subsequently promoted to Controller in 2007. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sul Ross State University and is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, Mr. Rubio has over 25 years of experience in accounting at both operating division and corporate levels as well as the management of accounting organizations.
Lee R. Johnson
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Lee Johnson has been the Chief Information Officer for GulfMark since 2009. He has over 25 years of experience in applying technical solutions and leading information technology organizations. Previously, Mr. Johnson was with Tatum LLC as a partner and practice leader and also served in CIO leadership positions where he led the technology and product development of next-generation hardware and software technologies. Mr. Johnson has a B.S. degree from the Pennsylvania State University and attended the Executive Masters Program in Computer Science and Software Engineering at Southern Methodist University.
Vice President, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment
Mr. Allred comes to us with extensive experience in the marine and offshore construction industries. Having worked in multi-cultural environments, his global management roles include responsibility for QHSE, enterprise risk, asset integrity, security, business continuity and ROV operations.
Previous stops for Mr. Allred include time at EMAS, Aker Solutions and McDermott, together with roles as Chairman of the America's Section of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) North America Section (2006-2012) and a Committee member of the National Offshore Safety Advisory Committee (NOSAC).
Barton (Bart) R. Reynolds
Vice President, Americas
Mr. Reynolds joined GulfMark in 2013 having been in the offshore marine support industry since 2001. He served Tidewater Marine for 12 years, managing their business in over 20 different countries from 4 international postings. He is an experienced Area Manager in Mediterranean and Red Sea (2003-2005), West Africa (2005-2009), and North America (2009-2013). Mr. Reynolds holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He earned a B.A. in Economics and a B.B.A. in International Business from the University of New Mexico.
Ewan M. Geddes
Managing Director, UK
Mr. Geddes has over 20 years' of experience in the offshore support vessel sector. Since joining GulfMark in 1993 he has held finance and commercial management roles bringing him close to the operational front of the business. After serving for 7 years as General Manager – Commercial he was promoted to Managing Director of the UK fleet in Jan 2014. Having initiated his career in banking, Mr Geddes completed both Diploma level and Associate qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
Ashley V. Robinson
Managing Director, Singapore
Ashley V. Robinson was appointed as Managing Director of GulfMarks' Southeast Asia operations in Jan 2013. Mr Robinson brings over 30 years of marine and offshore management and operations experience, with over 14 years served in management roles within the Southeast Asia and Australian markets. Prior to joining GulfMark, Mr. Robinson was Chief Commercial Officer of ASX listed Miclyn Express Offshore. Previous roles have included Group General Manager of the Amsbach Group, and Director of the Marine Consultancy Ferriby Marine. Mr Robinson started his marine career in conventional shipping before switching to offshore operations in 1986 and holds a Class One Master Mariner’s qualification.

David J. Butters is Chairman of the Board of Directors and is Chairman of the Compensation Committee. Since September 2008, Mr. Butters has been Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Navigator Holdings Ltd., an international shipping company. Mr. Butters is also currently a member of the Board of Directors of Weatherford International, Inc. Mr. Butters retired from Lehman Brothers, Inc., a subsidiary of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. ("Lehman") in September 2008. He had been employed at Lehman since 1969, most recently holding the position of Managing Director.
Sheldon S. Gordon

Sheldon S. Gordon is a member of the Compensation and Audit Committees. From May 1996 to September 2011, he served as non-executive Chairman of Union Bancaire Privée International Holdings, Inc. From May 1996 to March 2002, he was Chairman of the Rhone Group LLC with which he continues as a Senior Advisor. Mr. Gordon was a director of Union Bancaire Privée from March 1997 to March 2011 and was a Director of the Holland Balanced Fund from June 1996 to June 2008 and of Ametek, Inc. from 1989 to May 2011.
Brian R. Ford

Brian R. Ford was appointed to the Board in March of 2009 and serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr.Ford also serves on the Governance & Nominating Committee. Mr. Ford was the Chief Executive Officer of Washington Philadelphia Partners, LP from 2008 through 2010. He retired as a partner from Ernst & Young LLP in June 2008 where he had been employed since 1971. Mr. Ford also serves on the Board of Trustees of Drexel University and Drexel University College of Medicine School and is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Rex C. Ross
Former Chairman, Schlumberger Technology Corporation
Rex C. Ross is a member of the Audit and Governance & Nominating Committees. From 2004 to 2009, Mr. Ross served as Chairman and director of Schlumberger Technology Corporation, the holding company for all Schlumberger Limited assets and entities in the United States. Prior to his retirement from Schlumberger Limited in May 2004, Mr. Ross held a number of executive management positions during his 11-year career there, including President of Schlumberger Oilfield Services North America; President, Schlumberger GeoQuest; and President of SchlumbergerSema North & South America. Mr. Ross was elected a Director of Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (a publicly traded oil and gas mid-stream services and marketing company) in October 2006 and is a member of its Audit and Conflicts and Governance Committees.
Charles K. Valutas
Former Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Sunoco, Inc.
Charles K. Valutas is a member of the Compensation and Governance & Nominating Committees and has over 30 years' experience with an integrated oil company. From 1979 - 2008, Mr. Valutas held various positions with Sunoco Inc., a large publicly held oil company, holding the positions of Sales and Product Manager, Vice President and General Manager, and most recently retiring as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. Mr. Valutas serves as a Board member for the Philadelphia Orchestra, Drexel University, Drexel University College of Medicine, and the Chemical Heritage Foundation. Prior to his experience with Sunoco Inc., Mr. Valutas worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Arthur Andersen and Co.
Peter I. Bijur

Peter I. Bijur is a member of the Audit Committee and serves as Chairman of the Governance & Nominating Committee. Mr. Bijur currently serves on the Board of Directors of Volvo AB and is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Texaco Inc. where he served from 1996 until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Bijur formerly served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Middlebury College and Mount Sinai-New York University Health.
Steven W. Kohlhagen

Steven W. Kohlhagen is a member of the Audit and Compensation Comittees and is a retired financial executive who brings to the Board expertise in financial accounting, finance and risk management through his extensive experience in, and knowledge of, the financial, securities and foreign exchange markets. He has held various positions in the private sector, including investment banking, asset management, and most recently as a consultant with AMETEK, Inc. He currently serves on the Board of Directors, the Business and Risk Committee and the Compensation Committee of Freddie Mac. He also serves on the Boards of Directors for Abtech Holdings, Inc., Reval Inc. and AMETEK, Inc., the Advisory Board of Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research at Stanford University, the Board of Advisors at Roper St. Francis Cancer Center and the Front Office Advisory Board at Bloomberg Sports.
